Report: Inter Milan and Chelsea reach agreement in principle for Lukaku loan

Well, well, well. According to a report from the Athletic, the Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan loan deal is done. The deal will be for €8 million plus add-ons and see the Belgian return to the San Siro with no buy option or obligation cause according to Fabrizio.

The medical is expected to take place next week and we could see Lukaku sporting some Inter gear in an airport somewhere here in the next few days. Lukaku’s current deal at Chelsea runs still 2026.

I really can’t believe we’ve arrived at this point. I have mixed feelings about how Lukaku left, but I try to put myself in his shoes and understand his desire to do the Premier League right. However you feel about him, he’s back, and Inter will be better for it.
